The process of van wraps
Van wrapping is a four-step process consisting of digital design, wrap printing, vehicle preparation, and wrap installation. A professional wrapping company like Boss Dog can handle the entire process for you. However, you should learn about the process to appreciate the value of the investment.
Let’s explore these steps in greater detail.
1) Digital Design
The first step is to create the digital design of the signage and imagery to go on the wrap. These are the visual elements everyone will see on the van wrap, such as your brand logo, colour scheme, promotional messaging, etc.
The entire design gets made on the computer. So if you are not happy with the first design, it will be remodified and recreated until you are 100% satisfied. Digital designing makes it easy to perform these modifications before any printing is done.
2) Wrap Printing
When the digital design meets your approval, it will get printed onto the vinyl wrap. The vinyl wrap will also get cut to accommodate the size and shape of your vehicle. That way, the fit will match up perfectly with the contours and outline.
3) Vehicle Preparation
Vehicle preparation work is done to ensure the wrap adheres firmly and securely. The preppers will prime the target areas with alcohol and other liquid solutions to increase the bond strength. There may also be an enclosed bay attached to prevent dust particles from getting caught in the wrap.
4) Wrap Installation
The wrap installation is the final step. In many cases, it could take an entire day with multiple crew members to perform a perfect fit of the wrap onto the vehicle, especially if it is a full wrap installation.
What our customers say
The service I received from the Boss Dog team was superb, from assisting me in selecting a bespoke finish for the R8 through to accommodating a weekend collection and of course the end result, I was nothing but impressed. Highly recommended!
