Design Tips for Your Van Wrap Signage

Van signage is a very affordable and effective form of advertising for any small business. As your commercial vehicles are driven around, your signage could accrue more than 75,000 impressions daily. On average, this costs a mere 4 pounds for every 1,000 impressions. Not a bad deal, right?

According to a recent survey, consumers claim they’re 15 times more likely to recognise a company or brand if they see it displayed on a van wrap versus other types of marketing. Approximately 30% of those consumers will make a purchase because of an attractive vinyl wrap sign that they saw.

    Brand Design Consistency

All the images, colours, text and fonts of your wrap design must harmoniously convey the message of your brand. These should be the same images, colours, text and fonts that you use wherever else you market your brand name and image. That way, your audience will have an easier time identifying your brand. Your brand message should remain consistent everywhere.

    Competition Research

Research your competition and see how they’re designing their van wraps and signage. Let the effective elements of their designs inspire you to create unique elements for your own designs. Don’t copy or replicate them, though.

    Visual Identity

Not all brand names signify the nature of a business, and that’s okay. But you need to make up for that by designing your van wraps with graphics or illustrations which do signify the nature of your business and its brand. People need to see your van wraps and immediately recognise your brand and its identity.

    Bold and Smooth

Your van wrap design should be bold and smooth. It doesn’t need to be cluttered with lots of different images and pictures. Only use visual elements which represent the identity of your brand. You don’t need to add any more than that.

    Appealing at All Angles

Your van wrap design is going to be seen from several different angles.  For this reason, it must look appealing at every angle. The van wrap must look good when your van is parked, driving fast on the road, sitting in traffic, or anywhere else. People passing by should be able to read the text on the signage easily.
