How much does car wrapping cost?
We all want to know how much it is going to cost to get our cars wrapped, but unfortunately it’s not a set price for all. There are a number of questions that we ask our clients in order to provide an accurate quote.
You can see below for some of the questions we ask our clients in order to provide a quote:-
What is the car model?
Firstly we ask for the model of the car, as size can have a great impact on the cost of the wrap. By rule of thumb a small 2 door car will generally be cheaper than a 4×4.
To add to this there are also some cars that have fiddly & complicated bends & curves which can make wrapping the car much more difficult.
What is the current paint condition?
We ask for the current paint condition as it can be a vital factor in whether the vinyl will even stick to the car! We have seen some cars in the past that have peeling paint, oxidation and body damage. We would highly recommend in those instances to not get the car wrapped and to fix the underlying issue first. Some people believe that they will be able to wrap over the damage to help prevent it getting worse, but in most cases this makes the situation worse.
Does the vehicle have any graphics applied?
If the answer is YES, then we will then ask you to send across photos of the current graphics. We are unable to wrap over existing graphics that have been applied so it is really important we are fully aware from the start.
If the car has been fully wrapped already then we will need to know too, plus also how long ago the car was wrapped. The length of time the vehicle has been wrapped for can have an impact on cost for removal.
Does the car have aftermarket parts?
If the car has aftermarket parts that have been added such as; antennas, door handles, spoilers, grills this can all have an impact on the cost too.
Will the vehicle be wrapped in a solid colour?
For personal use in most instances the car will be wrapped in a solid colour. The average cost for wrapping a standard 2 door car starts from £1,000.
Some companies will charge far less for car wrapping services, but you must remember ‘you get what you pay for’! At Boss Dog when we wrap vehicles we do it with utmost attention detail, we remove all panels and ensure that no original car paint is left visible. As we remove all car panels rest assured that we are fully insured too, meaning that if anything breaks whilst we are wrapping the vehicle we will get it replaced at no extra charge to you.
Please note that the above prices are for a standard solid colour, if for example you wish for your vehicle to be wrapped in chrome then the material cost can be higher. We would recommend to get in touch with our specialist team who will be able to provide an accurate quote for your specific needs.
Will the vehicle be wrapped in a designed pattern?
If so, then it is best to get in touch with our team directly who can provide professional advice and costing for you. Designed patterns vary greatly with levels of detail and many other factors that all have an impact on cost, that is why we think it is best to find out your specific needs first.
Premium Quality & Service
The total price of a car wrapping service includes the cost of the labor, the materials used, and the preparatory measures of the surface. Once the car wrap is applied, it will undergo a thorough quality control evaluation. After that, it will be cleaned and ready for collection.
Please Note: Before you make any decision to get a car wrap, talk it over with one of our car wrapping experts first. They can advise you on the best options and prices available based on what you’re looking to achieve from it.

What our customers say
I found BossDog after searching on Yell.com and from the very start found them to be very accommodating. They turned around several designs for me within a very short period of time, each time I sent them back with small amendments a new design was back to me within an hour or two. I was very impressed with the artwork, the response time and the quality of the materials they used. I have been a heating engineer for 22 years and know exactly what you have to do to make sure your customers are 100% happy, BossDog did this. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work to be carried out.
